Yesterday the Connecticut House of Representatives passed a bill that would offer 14 days of early voting next year. It was passed by a 107-35 vote. The bill is expected to be passed in the Senate and signed by Governor Ned Lamont.
A New London man was arrested earlier this week after allegedly attacking a person with a machete on Broad Street. 42 year old Jermal Jacklin chased after a person with the weapon striking him once in the back. However the victim was not injured. Jacklin is facing multiple charges.
Police are investigating a fight that happened on Salem Turnpike in Norwich yesterday. Officers say two males were involved and one was reported to have a firearm, however officers on the scene have not confirmed anyone had a gun. A nearby Elementary School was temporarily in a hold in place mode due to the altercation.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is warning drivers of upcoming lane closures and detours starting this weekend at the 6/10 connector. Officials said the closures will be in effect for the next three weekends, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. and lasting through 5 a.m. Monday.
