Yesterday Connecticut’s House of Representatives voted to ban THC products containing more than one milligram per serving from being sold outside of licensed dispensaries. The legislation now moves to the Senate.
The man who killed 21 year old Quvonte Andre Gray in New London in 2017 was sentenced in New London Superior Court yesterday. Jamir Johnson will serve 17 years in prison for the shooting. His full sentence is 33 years suspended after 17 and five years of probation.
Police are currently trying to identify a man whose body was found in a shallow grave in Mohegan Park in Norwich on Sunday. Officers say that the man was shot to death. Authorities say it appeared to be a targeted attack that did not happen in the park.

A former Westerly school employee has been indicted on three counts of third-degree sexual assault against a student following an investigation. 39-year-old Sean Tormey of Westerly, was arrested yesterday following a grand jury indictment. Tormey has not worked at the school since March 14th.
