23 people across Connecticut were taken into custody, during a warrant sweep by Connecticut State Police and several other agencies on Friday. Troopers at Troop K, East Haddam town officers, Willimantic probation and DOC officers took part in the large-scale bust.
Norwich police have identified a man who was discovered last week in Mohegan Park as a Brooklyn NY man missing since January. 44 year old Martin Wright is believed to have been killed by 45 year old McMillian Wright.
Last week a lawsuit was filed against the town of Westerly by the Watch Hill Fire District and the Watch Hill Conservancy. Earlier this month the suit was filed over a dispute about the pathway to the Napatree Point Conservation area that the town says is a public right of way.
Police have identified the 83 year old man who died after crashing into a tree on Shewville Road in Groton on Saturday. Officers say Alexander Lunny of Ledyard was the only occupant of the vehicle and died after the crash. The cause is being investigated.
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is notifying residents that construction will be starting on the Smith Street Bridge in Providence today. Park street will be closed between Hayes and Smith Streets until Friday May 19th at 5:00a.m.
