A Connecticut man who served 28 years in prison had his charges dismissed yesterday after it was ruled he was wrongly convicted. Adam Carmon was arrested in 1994 in connection to a shooting that killed a baby and paralyzed her Grandmother in New Haven. Officials say the charges were dropped after missteps by police and prosecutors were found.

Yesterday Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont signed legislation that will allow pharmacies to prescribe birth control without the patient needing to see a doctor first. Supporters say that legislation will approve access to birth control especially in rural areas.

Police in Plainfield arrested a man who was charged with public indecency after he was found allegedly touching himself inappropriately while inside his truck in the parking lot of the Big Y on Lathrop Road. Officers say that 59 year old John Bellavance was also staring at strangers while commiting the act.

The man arrested in connection to a crash on I 395 in Montville last year that killed 33 year old Hamie Kraiewski and her son 17 year old Tyshon Ozzie Harper was in court yesterday. 29 year old Derion Coker was allegedly drinking the night of the deadly crash. A judge continued his case until July.
