Los Angeles - October 12^ 2022: Selective focus of baseball in outfield grass at Dodger Stadium

The San Diego Padres defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers with a score of 10-2 on Sunday in Game 2 of the NLDS, to even their series at one game a piece.

The Padres hit six home runs in the game, tying the single-playoff game record. Fernando Tatis Jr. hit the record-tying HR (one of his two homers on the night), and finished 3-for-4 with three extra-base hits and three RBIs. Rookie Jackson Merrill went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs, and two runs scored, while Kyle Higashioka, David Peralta, and Xander Bogaerts also homered.

San Diego starter Yu Darvish threw seven three-hit innings against the Dodgers, who only scored in the second inning (on a sacrifice fly from Gavin Lux) and later in the bottom of the ninth (when Max Muncy hit a solo homer.)

The Dodgers will head to San Diego for Games 3 and 4 with the best-of-5 series now tied at 1-1.  Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8 in San Diego.
