NHL Playoffs: Panthers defeat Lightning 4-2; Stars dominate Avalanche with 6-2 win

The Florida Panthers defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 in Game 4 of their first round playoffs at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday, taking a 3-1 series lead. Aaron Ekblad and Seth Jones scored the game-tying and go-ahead goals with 3:47 and 3:36 left to play, respectively, to come back from behind to beat the Lightning.  Florida and Tampa Bay will face-off on Wednesday night for Game 5 in Tampa.

The Dallas Stars dominated in a 6-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche in Game 5 of the Western Conference First Round at American Airlines Center on Monday. Wyatt Johnston scored two goals, including the first just nine seconds into the game, and had an assist for the Stars, while Thomas Harley, Mikko Rantanen, Mason Marchment, and Roope Hintz also scored; Jake Oettinger made 26 saves. Dallas leads their playoff series 3-2 heading into Game 6, set for Thursday in Denver.
