Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon has tested positive for COVID-19, making him the seventh Bengals player to test positive this week.  Mixon tested positive for the virus on Wednesday, and will sit-out Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Additionally, team officials said defensive tackle B.J. Hill has also been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Mixon and Hill are the sixth and seventh Bengals players to be placed on the COVID-19 list this week. On Tuesday, safety Vonn Bell, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (Reserve/Injured), defensive end Trey Hendrickson, center Trey Hopkins and guard Quinton Spain were also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.  Cleveland is also without quarterback Baker Mayfield, who will also sit out Sunday’s game to undergo shoulder surgery. Mayfield, who has played with a torn labrum and fracture in his non-throwing shoulder most of the season, was sacked nine times in Monday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cincinnati clinched the AFC North title on Sunday with a 34-31 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, making the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
